Tackling Tough Issues“Live Life with Joy and on Purpose” is an outreach of Pelican Ventures. Since 2009, Pelican has been bringing readers Christian fiction in a variety of genres, through Pelican Book Group. (pelicanbookgroup.com). In October 2016, several Pelican authors got together to be featured on a series of episodes of a book of the month television program. Who knew that FROM that experience would come Pelican’s own broadcast outlet? Nicola Martinez, Editor-in-Chief of Pelican Book Group and executive producer of “Live Life with Joy and on Purpose” sure didn’t know, but God knew!
Just a few months later, “Live Life with Joy and On Purpose” premiered. It’s the program where we tackle tough issues from a Christian perspective. Sometimes, that means looking at life issues and discussing how to cope. Sometimes it’s delving into scripture to find out how it relates to us today. Sometimes it’s learning how to pray—or dedicating an entire episode to prayer.
Featuring different hosts who range from laypeople to PhD’s to clergy, “Live Life with Joy and on Purpose” aims to enrich lives, glorify Jesus, and to encourage all to find the peace that surpasses all understanding. You can have peace, even in the midst of trial, and you do have a specific purpose on this earth. The only way to discover that purpose is to get to know God intimately. He deliberately breathed you into existence. He will tell you why. You’re no accident, so go…live life with joy and on purpose.
